About me

My name is Jenn and I practice Yoga Nidra. I struggle with sleep and about a year and half ago I decided to do something more about it. All the tips you find online and in books like, magnesium supplements and sleep hygiene were only helping marginally so when I hear about what Andrew Huberman called "Non Sleep Deep Rest" I thought it couldn't hurt to dig a little deeper. My first YN session was on a yoga mat in my living room on a chilly December afternoon. I had to go to get my winter tires installed on my car and the last thing I wanted to do was leave the house. I settled in with headphones, YouTube, a pillow under my head, a bolster under my back and a blanket. 45 minutes later I opened my eyes and felt like I had slept for 3 hours. I didn't actually fall asleep at all but I certainly did feel like I had.

I've been practicing 5-7 days per week every since. Some days I have time for an hour or more and other days I can only squeeze in 15-20min. All is beneficial.

What started as a means to supplement lack of sleep has turned into a journey that had made me feel stronger, more centered and more at peace. It's helped me so much that now I'm here to help others find the benefits. This website is a work in progress and I'm learning how to build it step by step so please be patient with me and check back often! Thank-you or as the Teachers say, Namaste.
